Scrappy Kin Terms of Service

Effective date: March 16, 2026

These Terms describe the limited service Scrappy Kin offers today. Scrappy Kin helps you prepare and send opt-out emails that you initiate. Bulk automation, inbox access, or broader Gmail permissions are out of scope.

1. Who we are

Scrappy Kin Inc. ("Scrappy Kin", "we", "us") is a Canadian company. Contact support@scrappykin.com for general help or privacy@scrappykin.com for privacy matters.

2. What the service does (and does not do)

• Scrappy Kin connects to your Google account only after you approve Google's gmail.send permission (send email only).
• The app helps you review and send batches of opt-out or data-rights request emails to the third-party recipients you choose, using a template you review before anything is sent.
• Scrappy Kin never reads your inbox, downloads message history, or applies any Gmail scope beyond gmail.send plus the basic identity scopes Google requires for sign-in.
• Scrappy Kin does not act as your agent. You review and approve every batch before it is sent.
• Scrappy Kin does not provide legal representation or guarantees about a broker's response.

3. Eligibility and connected Gmail access

• You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use Scrappy Kin.
• You are responsible for keeping your device secure and for any activity initiated with your Google account while connected.
• You may disconnect Gmail at any time inside the app or via Google account settings.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to access Gmail scopes other than gmail.send through Scrappy Kin.
• Automate bulk unsolicited email blasts or spam.
• Misrepresent your identity in opt-out requests.
• Use Scrappy Kin to send unlawful content or violate anti-abuse laws, platform terms, or privacy regulations.
• Reverse engineer or interfere with Scrappy Kin infrastructure except where such restrictions conflict with open-source licenses that apply to the app.

We may suspend or terminate access if we detect behavior that risks approval, security, or legal compliance.

5. Fees

If you purchase a paid plan inside Scrappy Kin, the fee is charged through the platform where you subscribed (e.g., Apple App Store). Taxes may apply. We do not add hidden fees for Gmail access.

6. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle Google user data. By using Scrappy Kin you agree to that policy. For Gmail access we comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy (Limited Use). The Gmail data flow is further described at /privacy.html#google-user-data.

7. Service changes and availability

• We may update Scrappy Kin, including security fixes or UX changes, without prior notice.
• We may throttle, suspend, or discontinue Gmail features at any time if needed for safety, compliance, or platform requirements.

8. Disclaimers and liability limits

Scrappy Kin is provided "as is" during this early release. To the fullest extent allowed by law:

• We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or revenues.
• Our total liability for any claim related to these Terms is limited to the amount you paid (if any) during the three months before the claim arose.

These limits do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or death/personal injury caused by negligence.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Scrappy Kin against claims that arise from your misuse of the service, including sending unlawful content or violating someone else's rights, unless the claim is caused by our breach of these Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts located in Montreal, Quebec, unless your local law requires a different venue.

11. Changes to these Terms

If we make material changes, we will post the update date on this page, describe the changes inside the app, and, when required, notify you by email. Continued use of Scrappy Kin after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms.
